Autumn of cooperation 2021

After the planning phase in the summer, many points in the project plan have started to be realized during the autumn, and the co-operation with various actors is lively. We are all delighted that some of the meetings and events have gradually shifted from teams and zoom to genuine face-to-face encounters on campuses, in companies and offices.

Let´s talk about International Recruitment in North Savo

In October-November, in cooperation with the Kuopio Region Chamber of Commerce, we will conduct a survey of North Savo's companies about their internationalization capabilities and service needs. The survey is still accepting answers, you can find it here. If you wish, you can leave a contact request. Based on the results, we’ll be able to design services that are even more fitting for companies.

Recruitment cooperation

VeKO is involved, among other things, in the recruitment of RD Group, from Upper Savo and Peltimestari, that operates in North Savo and Helsinki metropolitan area. VeKO maps international experts and plans and implements settlement services. Navigator video

In October, in cooperation with the City of Kuopio, we also published a video presentation of the Navigator service point from which also immigrants can receive support when considering educational, career options and everyday life. Check the video here and share this post on LinkedIn!

“Sawosta maailmalle” - International November in North Savo

We are also involved in the events and arrangements of the fast-approaching international November.

Put on your calendar the morning session for companies: Osaavaa työvoimaa maahanmuuttaneista happening in Varkaus on Wed 24.11. and in Iisalmi on Thu 25.11. Along with the brunch, you will hear about the experiences of local companies in employing immigrants and get information about the services provided by various actors to support international recruitment. After brunch, you can also take part in a solution workshop and discussion on the theme. Register now here.

In November, we will also be offering free sparring on international recruitment to five companies in the region. The sparring will be carried out in co-operation with the North Savo ELY Centre. Contact Tanja if your organization is interested in booking a sparring session!
